Japan - Mylo is Obsessed

On our way back from China, we stopped over in Japan. Ehh, why not! Mylo is obsessed with all things Japanese. He cultivates his own bonsai at home, reads up on Japanese culture/history, and would eat tonkatsu (popular Japanese dish consisting of deep fried pork cutlet and a delicious sauce) every day for the rest of his life if it were possible. We visited Tokyo, Kyoto, and Nara. We were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was in Japan and how friendly everyone was. We went to Disneyland Tokyo, which is an exact replica of Disneyland, Pasadena sans Magic Mountain. It was a blast and a much needed break from historical site-seeing. I was attacked by killer, rapid deer in Nara (Mylo did nothing to protect his future bride FYI). It was an all around fabulous trip. We hope to go back some day during Cherry Blossom season. ~ B

Tell Mylo I'd be obsessed too if I'd visited some of those places. It is just beautiful there.

School's almost done for you! What are you guys planning on doing this summer? Any more traveling?
