11 Months

Henry is eleven months today. Only one month until he officially a toddler. I love this stage of babyness. So many new exciting milestones and this month has been chalk full of them.

There has been lots and lots of moving in the form of...

cruising...

crawling...

...and most recently, walking. Only a few steps here and there, but we are so close. See the video below from tonight's walking excitement. Henry has also starting to really love on the kitty. Poor Hazel, she is so desperate for attention, she even puts up with tugging. She especially likes to cuddle (aka smother) Henry while he is nursing. She crawls up and nudges her way onto my lap and on top of Henry and he pets her and grabs her ears the whole time.
Someone also got his first haircut. Day one was a bang trim, which looked totally dorky with the rest of his hair long, but he was not having any of it. Day two was a full fledged haircut while he was stuck in his bath seat during bath time. It turned out pretty dang good, all things considered.

Henry has also been experimenting with a little water in the sippy cup. He has actually figured it out pretty quickly and we will probably start transitioning from bottles to a sippy cup.

Henry is jamming on solid food these days. He loves finger food and pretty much refuses anything resembling a puree, except for applesauce and yogurt. He will eat pretty much anything you put in front of him - mushrooms, meat, noodles, cucumber, sweet potato. He eats a little bit of most dinners that we eat and I am crossing my fingers that he won't be a picky eater like his big brother.

This kid enjoys himself a little naked time. Naked + books = fun. Didn't you know?

The end ... until the next post that is.

Nice job on the haircut! It's not easy with a moving target. Do you have thinning shears? They have saved me from a few haircutting disasters.
Henry is getting so big and even cuter!!!
