My mom came up for the long weekend and we maximized our time with Grandma Sally.
Saturday - morning walk; lunch with the ladies (sans kid), naps all around; pumpkin chili dinner at home; fresh made scones for dessert (Ollie helped); and an On Demand movie.

Scone making time.

Sunday - Waffles for breakfast; Target and Barnes & Noble with Ollie in tow, which resulted in two major meltdowns (one of which I stayed remarkably cool and collected through and the other, well, no so much); lunch at Taco Del Mar; a stop at the Children's Museum for Ollie to burn off some steam; grocery shopping (sans kid, who was napping, while Mylo painted the ceiling in the kitchen - woot, woot); Papa Murphy's pizza for dinner (based on the meltdowns, we decided to eat in - yum); and some rowdy Sequence (thanks for the game mom!) to finish off the night.
Monday - Long walk through the neighborhood and down to Fairhaven, a stop at Fairhaven Books, and back home on the boardwalk and trail, but not before we stopped at Wood's Coffee, where we had hot cocoa all around and a fall in the mud (after being told not to walk in the mud repeatedly). Ollie loved the kid's cocoa. The mud, not so much (it was kind of funny for us - at least he was wearing full rain gear). During Ollie's (three hour) nap, Mylo painted the walls in the kitchen and I made a custom table cloth from oil cloth to protect our beautiful table from Ollie.

And the mud...
